New Recycling Compost Program Launched in Fretwell to Reduce Paper Waste
On Jan. 19, 2024, the Office of Sustainability launched its new recycling pilot program to lessen the amount of paper wasted at UNC Charlotte. The program’s goal is to decrease paper waste by 60%. To accomplish that goal, new paper towel bins were installed in bathrooms in Fretwell. Read more here.

Last spring, students at UNC Charlotte began raising awareness about the second leading cause of bird deaths in North America – collisions with buildings and their squeaky clean glass.
